It all started when…

Stephanie was raised on the island of Oahu. She spent most of her childhood at the beach, hiking, jumping off of waterfalls, skateboarding, and exploring. Her dad always joked that he spent his paychecks on film but there was truth in that. He literally always had a camera with him, everywhere they went. By the time Stephanie was a teenager, she also always had a camera with her.

She graduated with her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Hawaii, at Manoa in 2012. She knew she needed a career that involved connecting with people and sharing aloha.  With an undying love for Hawai’i and photography, she created Stephanie Hughes Photography, LLC.

She began her photography career shooting small beach weddings which turned into large venue weddings. Along with weddings, she would shoot family portraits, children, maternity, and fitness models. In 2014, she began studio photography and still continues to do so now. She is a very versatile photographer who specializes in laughter and freezing precious moments in time. Her clients rave about how great she is with children, her down to earth personality and her passion for photography.
